The next installment in the Suikoden RPG series is coming very soon to a DS near you. Konami has announced that Suikoden: Tierkreis will arrive on March 17th in the United States.

Tierkreis, released in Japan last December, follows the standard Suikoden storyline: the player must recruit 108 heroes and eventually defeat a ruthless king. Tierkreis, however, takes place on a different world than previous games so it's an all-new cast.

Players can hire each other's characters via Nintendo Wi-Fi to complete quests to earn experience for both players. To encourage this character sharing, Konami has included a boss battle and rare item in Tierkreis which can only be accessed in Wi-Fi mode.
