Syndicate Hostile Takeover Trailer Introduces Four-Player Co-op

The original Syndicate was a strategy game that allowed you to control a team of four agents. As a nod to the old game, the new shooter reboot of the series will feature four-player co-op missions.

Four players will "cooperate, infiltrate and eliminate" in nine missions. The missions are said to be inspired by the original Syndicate. It sounds like the content will be completely different than the single-player campaign.

Syndicate depicts a near future in which megacorporations rule the world. They use any means necessary in order to edge out competing syndicates. Their pawns in this battle are Agents, well-trained operatives equipped with heavy weaponry and implanted with chip technology that gives them superhuman abilities. The player takes on the role of one of these Agents.

EA plans to release Syndicate on February 21st in North America and February 24th in Europe. The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena studio Starbreeze Studios is developing the game on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
