As Capcom promised, they've released a new story trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil 5 at the Tokyo Game Show. Finally, an answer to the burning question: "Wait, why is Chris Redfield running around massacring African villagers?"

The trailer is narrated by protagonist Redfield. He explains that Umbrella's bioweapons fell into the hands of terrorists and spread across the world. Ah, so that's why this African country's overrun with zombies. Never been sure why villains in games or movies think a virus that turns people into zombies who inevitably eat them is a good, marketable weapon but meh.

Hey, it's got a chainsaw-wielding zombie - no good video's complete without one. The trailer's a full three minutes and should satisfy your RE fix...for now. The game is due out in March 2009 for PS3 and Xbox 360.
