To kick off Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix has released a new trailer for their upcoming MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV. Lots of pretty images and music to be had, here.

The trailer offers a brief look at the world of Eorzea, the game's setting. It's an exotic land filled with loads of shiftless mercenaries and adventurers (i.e. you). Naturally, you'll go out into the wilderness and start killing stuff for their sweet loots. There's a brief shot of a couple warriors fighting a Malboro, a common monster in Final Fantasy games.

FF XIV will be released on the PC and PS3 in 2010. It'll be launched in four languages: Japanese, English, German, and French.
