Square-Enix released a new story trailer for the upcoming Front Mission: Evolved. The trailer gives a brief overview of a complex war tearing the world apart and the deadly machines that will be at the player’s disposal for trying to set things right.

The Front Mission games were always intense, even back when they were turn-based strategy games on the SNES and PSOne. The new trailer isn’t all about dramatic story sequences, though, a few gameplay snippets can also be seen.

One of the new additions to the game is the ability to dismount from the gear and take on the enemy on foot. That’s probably not one of the smartest things to do but at least the option is there. The game itself is more like a strategic and dynamic version of Armored Core, but with better visuals and a heck of a lot more shrapnel.
