Fumito Ueda’s revolutionary work and design ethic has easily put his development studio, Team Ico, on a plateau all their own. A new developer’s documentary was released for the studios’ latest project, The Last Guardian. While discussing the game’s design process gamers also get to see some never-before-seen footage of the gameplay.

I don’t want to spoil what the gameplay footage is like but it would be wrong of me to say that it’s something gamers would be looking forward to. Anyway, the dev doc aspects of the new video give some good insight into the design process of the main creature in the game…I’m not sure what it is and according to Ueda he doesn’t know what it is either but he made sure the designed the create to be as realistic as possible.

The game original broke the news sphere when PlayStation LifeStyle got their hands on some exclusive, leaked footage of the secret game right before its official debut during this year’s E3 event. Nevertheless, it’s been a hot potato on the plate of PS3 exclusives and while little is known about the game, it’s definitely a project worth keeping an eye on.
