If you’ve been following CB Games like the good gamer you are, then you’re aware of an upcoming MMO that looks to be taking the genre to the next level. NCsoft today has announced that fans looking for the ultimate Tabula Rasa experience will be able to purchase a special Limited Collector’s Edition. Everyone knows that only the cool kids get to have collector’s edition versions of their games.

Created by Richard Garriott, Tabula Rasa is looking to redefine the design of the MMO. The game will have a deep story that unfolds in the choices players make. What we’re looking forward to the most with Tabula Rasa is the ability to combine immersive action with ethical choices that will allow us to shape the world, and not just pre-scripted events. The advantage offered by games that live in an online world is they can be broadened to a near infinite level of story and customization. It’s a gameplay facet that many uninitiated gamers have probably assumed is standard fare in the genre. Up until now that has actually been a bit limited; hopefully Tabula Rasa will be able to deliver on that expansive world in a way we’ve yet to see. They certainly could use any edge available to compete with the juggernaut World of Warcraft.

Tabula Rasa is scheduled for release this fall, and gamers will be able to find the Limited Collector’s Edition of the game as their local store, or at the PlayNC store.
