Valve is offering class-based multiplayer shooter Team Fortress 2 for only $2.50 until 2 PM Pacific Time. If you miss out on the deal, don't worry, because there's other good news related to the game.

Valve also revealed that the first annual Team Fortress 2 Haunted Halloween Special is set to begin today. A new update will add five Achievements to the game, which in turn unlock "Mildly Disturbing Halloween Hats" for your characters. The update also contains a new map for King of the Hill mode called "Harvest."

According to the Halloween Special's preview site, it will run until Monday, November 2nd. After that you probably won't be able to earn the Halloween hats but maybe the new map will still be playable.
