The Agency hasn’t been making waves through the industry the way a few other console-based MMOs have (i.e., Champions Online and DC Universe Online) but that hasn’t stopped the game from standing out with its own flair. Sony Online Entertainment recently released some new screenshots of the game featuring some sexy looking shootouts, agents and spy-themed sneaking.

The more I see of The Agency the more it looks like a really fun game to play. The mix of espionage action, going on spy missions and engaging in traditional player-vs-player (and player-vs-environment) combat also gives the game a unique blend of multiple genres all rolled up into one big MMO.

The art-style also seems to reflect a darker aesthetic of the Team Fortress 2 look, except it has a snazzy comic-book feel to it. As you’ll see in the new screenshots, the game is chock-full of secret agent panache and I’m not sure how it’s all going to work with massive amounts of players, but it definitely looks good.
