Hype The Conduit Gets Hollywood Voice Talent on N4G
The Conduit Gets Hollywood Voice Talent Kevin Sorbo and Mark A. Sheppard ring a bell? Well if they don’t, you’ll probably recognize their voices soon enough in Nintendo Wii’s exclusive shooter, The Conduit. With a snazzy concept, some celebrity voice-over work, Soul Calibur’s Diego Stocco composing the music, and [hopefully] an intuitive control scheme, The Conduit could definitely shape up to be a surprise hit.

But the importance of this news regards High Voltage Software acquiring celebrity talents such as William Morgan Sheppard (i.e., Transformers, The Prestige, etc.,) Kevin Sorbo (i.e., Hercules, Kull, Andromeda, etc.,) and Mark A Sheppard (24, Burn Notice, CSI, etc.) Mark Sheppard lends his voice to the main character of the game, while William M. Sheppard voices the likes of John Adams, and Kevin Sorbo brings to life the terrorist Prometheus.

Each of the actors had a little something to say about their voices being used in the game:
“It [The Conduit] looks like a riot,” said Sorbo, “I’m looking forward to it.”
“It [The Conduit] has a resonance to it as a story;” said Morgan Sheppard. “It’s really quite exciting… and very well written.”
“I think the story in this [The Conduit] is fantastic,” said Sheppard. “I think there’s a lot there for the player to enjoy.”

The Conduit for the Nintendo Wii is scheduled to release sometime in the first quarter of 2009. But we all know what that means: delayed until 2010.
