You may have heard the rumors that Wii first-person shooter The Conduit had its release date pushed back from spring to summer. It's true but it's not as long of a delay as you'd expect.

Sega and High Voltage Software told Joystiq that the new release date is June 23rd instead of June 9th. Though Memorial Day gets hyped here in the States as the beginning of summer, the season officially starts on June 21st. Thus, it's true that the game slipped from spring to summer.

A High Voltage rep told Joystiq that the delay was due to a longer-than-normal testing and approval period. Makes sense; a multiplayer shooter stretches the Wii in directions the console's not entirely used to.
