A lot of high hopes are riding on High Voltage Software and Sega’s mildly ambitious first-person shooter for the Wii, The Conduit. And with the release nigh and high, Sega has unveiled the official launch trailer for the game.

The Conduit contains some Hollywood voice talents, a conspiracy-laden plot and some outer-worldly weaponry. It sounds like a top-notch sci-fi thriller but it’s starting to look a little like a Sci-Fi original movie.

So far, all I’ve seen are a lot of generic looking shoot-outs and indescribable weapons that seem as if they were recycled from Rare’s original N64 title, Perfect Dark. I could be wrong but the game looks a little like it could fall into the region of mediocrity.

Anyway, you can check out the new launch for The Conduit, provided by GameTrailers. It's mildly entertaining but definitely a step up from the casual shovel-ware that the Wii is known for receiving.
