The Grudge: Creepiest Wii Game Ever AQ Interactive and Feel Plus have recently released the debut trailer for their upcoming movie-to-game experience, The Grudge. I’m not keen on movie-games and I’m rarely ever fond of their esthetics, but this game is seriously the creepiest looking game out of the entire Wii library. Not that it means all much considering the Wii’s library…but still, you get my drift.

Being developed by the same people who brought you Lost Odyssey and Ninety-Nine Nights, The Grudge is based loosely on the movie of the same name, featuring those creepy looking Japanese demon kids and a host of unwelcoming environments. The gameplay consists mostly of puzzle solving and walking about dark corridors and abandoned buildings. Based on what’s shown off in the footage it looks like players will have to adopt the find-the-batteries-for-the-flashlight tactic, otherwise it’ll result in venturing around and about in complete darkness. In that regards, the game reminds me of the Half-Life mod, Afraid of the Dark.

Anyway, this debut is only for the Japanese debut of the game (seeing how the movie and concepts are extraordinarily popular over in Japan). But much like Magna Carta 2 for the Xbox 360, don’t be surprised to see a North American release date sprawled across the next video trailer.
