2K Play and The Odd Gentlemen released a new debut trailer for the upcoming, odd, platform-based adventure game, The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom. Despite its strangeness this has to be one of the most original platform games to come along in a long time.

P.B. Winterbottom is a strange tale about an obsession with a mystical pie. Winterbottom finds himself following the pie into a portal that leads him on a disturbing and zany adventure where having a doppelganger is an instrumental asset in capturing…pie.

The theme song and silent-film, noir aesthetics give the game a fresh new take in an era where 3D reigns supreme and photorealism is the “in” thing of this generation. 2K Play’s The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom is due out early 2010 exclusively for the Xbox Live Arcade.
