A new third-person cooperative shooter is on the way for the Xbox 360s Live Arcade and the PS3s PlayStation Network. The game features individual stories for up to four-players but is a cooperative game through and through. It also happens to be built on the Unreal Engine, so quality is not a question for this game.

According to Omar Salleh, Game Director at Tragnarion Studios
Our unique blend of co-op action plus co-op storytelling, in which each playable character has a distinct perspective on the central plot, brings something new to the table and were definitely looking forward to expanding on this and much more in the rest of the Scourge Saga.

The first set will be released in a two-episode bundle that contains up to four hours of gameplay. Like most other third-person shooters it will feature a nice selection of weapons, skills and accessories, as well as boss battles and environmental puzzles. The fact that its still a cooperative shooter makes it all the more tantalizing.

You can learn more about The Scourge Project, which is due out this month on Steam for PC and March of 2010 for PS3 and Xbox 360, by visiting the Official Website.
