Paramount Digital Entertainment has announced that a new brawling game based on the 1979 film The Warriors will be released later this year to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the movie's theatrical release. The game is set to be released exclusively on Xbox Live Arcade.

The development of the game is being handled by CTXM. Many of you no doubt wish Rockstar was handling the development but CTXM does have a good amount of experience with XBLA. In the past, CTXM has produced Heavy Weapon, Feeding Frenzy and Astropop.

The game's due out this Summer. Paramount's also unveiled a new trailer that demonstrates the manner in which Warriors come out to play-ay (sorry).
