Three Games For Wii That Are Actually Worth PlayingAuthor: William Usher

I’m no fan of the Wii. I’ll get the air clear of that elephant sized axiom right away. However, that doesn’t mean the Wii is completely devoid of games worth experiencing, playing and enjoying. With that said, here are three games worth checking out for the system that you won’t get anywhere else.
The Game Reviews currently has up an article showcasing three games for the Wii that fits the bill Iwata put forth back at E3 2006…yeah, the one where he talked about bad graphics and innovative gameplay. Well, Lawrence Sonntag puts the claims of the “Wii having no games” to partial rest with three titles that don’t fall into the shovelware, casual-crusade category. I can’t speak on behalf of all Wii gamers looking for a motion-controlled version of Halo or an intense, rubber grinding experience of something on the line of Gran Turismo, but the games Mr. Sonntag lists don’t sound half-bad to play. Well, assuming you’re not into anything that contains wall-to-wall violence, fender bending mayhem or sweat-inducing adventures. The games in the article are Endless Ocean, De Blob, and Kororinpa: Marble Mania. The Game Reviews lays down the reasons why these games are worth checking out and what experiences they offer that you won’t find on any of the other home consoles. It’s an overall good read, even if you’re not planning on checking the games out for the Wii. Anyway, be sure to stay tuned in with Blend Games for more updates, info and media regarding the latest games. |
