Remember those old games like Ikari Warriors, Twin Storm or Tank Battalion? Well, those old-school overhead games may be legendary to the bandanna wearing kids of the 80’s, but they’re chip and bit trash to most gamers in today’s generation.
Thankfully, the classic gaming era hasn’t completely been lost to chainsaw-wielding soldiers and mecha-robots that battle evil moons in outer space. A new Xbox Live indie game featuring co-op tank destruction has been released and it rekindles that old retro arcade nostalgia.
Tiger Storm features 3D isometric gameplay with tons of non-stop arcade action, plenty of enemies to blast to pieces and even simultaneous co-op gameplay. I must admit, these newer Xbox Live Indie Games seem to rival the quality of standard Xbox Live Arcade titles, and that’s definitely saying something about the independent development community.
You can check out the new launch trailer for the game below or look for it on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
