No one can deny that the technology culture of today’s generation is one of the most popular in the world. Keeping up with changing trends in our electronic-driven age has become a religion for a lot of geeks...uh, I mean people, and Time (yes, the same group who runs that timeless magazine) wants to get in on the action. A press release was recently sent out to confirm that Techland is now open and will cater to all your tech-heavy, sci-fi, gaming, geeky needs.
According to the press release… Techland is not just another tech site - it will combine breaking tech news, reviews and discussion on the cutting edge of all things nerd. The site is led by Peter Ha, TIME.com technology editor and previously a writer for CrunchGear.com. Techland's team is also comprised of Lev Grossman, TIME Senior Writer, book critic and lead technology writer; Matt Selman, TIME.com/Nerdworld contributor and Executive Producer of The Simpsons; and Steve Snyder, who will cover the latest films, DVD's and TV. Tracey John is also a contributor to Techland, covering video games and general tech news.Included in all that nerdom will also be the latest reviews, breaking news and interviews concerning video games, comic books, sci-fi literature, television shows and gaming gear. So basically, Techland is trying to put CNet, Ars Technica and Engadget out of business. Let the nerd wars begin, or continue…whichever way you want to look at it is fine with me. You can check out the new site by paying visit to Techland.com. |
