Have you played a bunch of video games and wondered what it would be like to live out the life of that hero? Well, have you ever thought that realistically that life would probably suck more than every Batman movie that wasn’t directed by Christopher Nolan? Yeah, a gaming hero’s life isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Stew Shearer from TheGameReviews.com compiled a list of the Top 5 heroes you wouldn’t want to be. So who’s on the list and why? Well, I’m not going to give everything away; I’ll leave the actual article to do that detailing for me.

What I will say, however, is that it’s funny how it’s nearly impossible to disagree with the article’s assessment for the unfortunate rewards some gaming heroes don’t receive (hence, Luigi’s picture plastered on this article as the main image). When you think about what some of these characters have to go through to stay alive, save a loved one or protect the world from an unstoppable force of immeasurable devastation, it kind of leaves you wondering why they do it in the first place when the reward is so…so…dinkly.
