Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron Matrix Trailer Introduces Metroplex

For Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron, High Moon Studios is bringing together several fan favorites including the Dinobots and Combaticons. The latest trailer shows another bot that will sure to be a crowd-pleaser: Metroplex.

Metroplex is an enormous Transformer that spends most of his time as a city. However, when called upon by the Autobots, he can become a colossal robot and join them in battle. He's large enough to hold another Transformer in his hand so, yeah, good thing he's on your team.

While he's probably not playable, Metroplex does have a big presence in the game. In our preview of Cybertron, Optimus Prime was able to call down airstrikes from Metroplex to wipe out enemies. The massive bot looming in the background reminded me of the Titans from God of War 3; they're not part of the actual gameplay but their presence turns a simple fight scene into an epic set piece.

Fall of Cybetron will debut this August on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
