Activision, High Moon Studios and Hasbro have released a new dev doc featuring the behind-the-scenes look at the story and concepts for War for Cybertron, along with some HD screenshots.

Hands down I simply have to say that this game looks so freaking awesome. It’s not based on some silly movie or cartoon tie-in, and I’m just shocked and amazed at how High Moon crafted an original world out of Cybertron with such a distinctively clear and believable look.

The Transformers themselves are just designed superbly and unlike Michael Bay’s junky robotic reincarnation of the Autobots and Decepticons, High Moon actually pays homage to the 1980’s rendition of the Transformers while at the same time infusing an original design into their appearance.
