Tropico 4 Release Date Is Set For Xbox 30

Kalypso Media has set the news straight: Tropico 4 is headed to the Xbox 360 and the release date is primed and ready once October 18th rolls around. It’s smart releasing the game a week before Battlefield 3, because gamers are more likely to buy Tropico 4 since there won’t be any modern combat competition filling up the store shelves.

As stated in the press release…

Tropico 4 sees you return as El Presidente, the tyrannical (or benevolent) dictator of the island paradise of Tropico. The world is changing and Tropico is moving with the times – geographical powers rise and fall and the world market is dominated by new players with new demands and offers – and you, as El Presidente, face a whole new set of challenges. If you are to triumph over your naysayers you will need to gain as much support from your people as possible. Your decisions will shape the future of your nation, and more importantly, the size of your Swiss bank account.

Gamers won’t just have to tend to their tyrannical side, though. There’s also the issue of amping up the city’s tourist attractions, bringing in outside publicity and marketing for cruises, exotic hotel locations off the beach, raising up independent industries and making jobs for the citizens, as well as all that other great stuff that goes along with running a country. You know the stuff most politicians talk about heartily on the campaign trail but forget about once they get into office.

Anyway, there is plenty to do in Tropico 4 and the graphics are filled up with all sorts of colorful, vibrant visual schemes to keep you both entertained and awe-struck. You can learn more about Tropico 4 by visiting the Official Website. The game is set for release on Xbox 360 come October 18th.
