Two brand spanking new headsets are on the way for PS3 and PC gamers, courtesy of the same individuals who brought you the high quality, ear-friendly headset known as the PX5. The two new Ear Force headsets are called the PX3 and the Z6A and they will be on demonstration at this year’s E3.
As stated in the press release… the PX3 is the “kid brother” to the highly acclaimed Ear Force PX5 programmable wireless surround sound headset launched earlier this year. Like the PX5, the PX3 comes preloaded with 18 interchangeable audio presets that allow gamers to select their desired audio experience. Additional stereo audio presets will also be made available for download from the Turtle Beach website for easy installation into the PX3; letting users enjoy a personalized assortment of in-game audio experiences. That’s pretty cool, eh? If you couldn’t afford the PX5 then the PX3 would be a perfect, economic alternative given that it only costs $149.99. Technically, you could get a Wii, a game and two Wii-motes for that price but I’m sure when it comes to quality, the PX3 wins out in that comparison. The PX3 also features state of the art Ear Guard with Blast Limit Technology so you only get the best quality sound your ears can handle. Sonic Lens and Sound Field Expanders are also present in the PX3, much like the PX5, which can signal out specific sounds by widening or narrowing the sound dampening field. This bad boy also comes with a rechargeable battery pack with up to 10 hours of straight through gaming to be had. The press release wasn’t just about the PX3, though. Turtle Beach’s other high performance headset, the Z6A, is powered by a 5.1 digital surround sound amplifier and comes equipped with eight high-end speakers (four for each ear phone). Each speaker is also acutely designed to make the most of today’s competitive online games, giving players complete surround sound feedback of every footstep and gunshot from every which direction imaginable thanks to all those spiffy speakers. There’s even support for Xbox 360 compatibility and the Z6A comes with an optional cable for those who want to take the fight from PC to the 360. The Ear Force Z6A will retail for $99.99 Both the Ear Force PX3 and Ear Force Z6A will be available this summer. For more info feel free to visit the Official Website. |
