Ubisoft announced a new series of limited edition merchandise based on their games. This merchandise, dubbed "UbiCollectibles," will be available exclusively through the UbiShop.

“UbiCollectibles are designed to give true fans something special,” said Geoffroy Sardin, Chief EMEA Marketing and Sales Officer at Ubisoft. “Each item is a custom-designed, limited edition, created to give fans an exceptional way to deepen their experience with their favorite Ubisoft universes.”

In other words, it's the sort of stuff they'd normally include in some fancy collector's edition of the game. They're targeting the super-hardcore fans, the sort who have "Altair" on their list of possible baby names. Prices weren't mentioned in the press release but I'd imagine some of this stuff is pretty expensive.

The first set of collectibles are based on the Assassin's Creed, Might & Magic Heroes and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon franchises:

• "Ezio's Fury", a highly detailed, hand-crafted statuette of the Assassin's Creed II protagonist Ezio. It shows him moving in for a kill. Only 2,000 will be sold.
• Intricate polyresin figurine of Archangel Michael, a character from Might & Magic Heroes VI. The design, showing Michael with wings spread and sword drawn, was chosen by fans on Facebook. Ubisoft will sell 500.
• Ghost Recon "Production Team" t-shirts, with the same design as those worn by the developers at E3. There's a limited quantity of these t-shirts but the exact quantity wasn't mentioned.

Pre-order information can be found at the UbiShop. They're currently only accepting pre-orders from European gamers right now, though. There's no mention of when North America will get in on the fun.
