Apparently making video games is not enough for developer and publisher Ubisoft. The company has gone on the record as saying they would like to make CGI effects for Hollywood movies as well.

In a recent interview with FT.com, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said “We want to create the capacity to develop special effects for movies. Those worlds have to merge more and more,”. Guillemot also stated that they are not in the market to make movies.

In an interview last year, Guillemot first spoke of wanting to get into making CGI for movies. "Our goal is to create a studio that will be very high quality, our goal is to try to get to the level of quality of Peter Jackson's Weta studio.”
