Naughty Dog announced today that the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves multiplayer demo, previously only accessible by pre-order customers, is now open to the general public. The 1.5 GB demo can be picked up through PSN.

The demo is significantly larger in scale than the >multiplayer beta from the beginning of the summer. Compared to the beta, the demo contains two more maps, two more competitive game modes, and one additional co-op mode. You'll also get the chance to try out the cinema mode, which allows you to record and watch your multiplayer matches, take screenshots, and make your own machinimas.

Unfortunately, demo will only be around for a limited time. Naughty Dog will take it down when the game is released on October 13th. Don't embark on any masterpieces with the cinema mode as any user-made creations from the demo won't be compatible with the full version.
