The first set of screenshots for the Unfinished Swan have come online, showing off a number of different environments within the game as well as a bit more of its color-splash art-style and navigation system.
Earlier today The Unfinished Swan was announced, which is an indie-style first-person adventure game being designed by Santa Monica Studios and Giant Sparrow Games. The game is described as being a zen-like experience, similar to ThatGameCompany's recent critical and commercial success, Journey.
From what I can gather from the screenshots it looks as if there are certain hints and clues left by the Swan for the player to follow. Using the color splash feature, players will venture through the game world, following close on the heels of the webbed-footed Swan.
The new screenshots for the game come courtesy of the Official PlayStation Magazine, where gamers get a closer look at the environment designs and some of the characters, including a frog and a chicken, who both look like they took a bath in tar.
The Unfinished Swan is set for release exclusively on the PlayStation 3 for the PlayStation Network, and we'll be sure to keep you updated on the game's progress as more information becomes available. You can check out the brief teaser trailer and game info over at the Official PlayStation Blog.
