Epic Games' multiplayer shooter Unreal Tournament 3, previously released for PS3 and PC, is now available for Xbox 360. It didn't make a big splash in sales on those other two platforms but maybe the House that Halo Built will be kinder to Epic and Midway Games' coffers.

The 360 port has all of the downloadable content previously released for the PS3 and PC, as well as five new maps and two new characters. It will also include a two-player split-screen mode to accommodate gamers looking for cheap date ideas. I fell off the UT wagon after they started releasing installments with year numbers (UT 2003, UT 2004) as if the franchise was Madden but now that they're back to numbering the sequels normally I'll probably check the game out. Yes, my decision process really is that shallow.

If you buy UTIII, you'll also get an exclusive video preview for Gears of War 2. I guess that's not really a selling point, though, 'cuz it'll be on YouTube by the end of the day - oh wait, it's up already. Still, I'd feel remiss writing an article about Epic Games without robotically reminding you of Gears of War 2 and its impending release in October.
