It seems that the sequel to Valkyria Chronicles will not be a Japan-only release. Sega of America and Sega Europe announced that it will arrive in their respective territories this summer.

VC2 is set two years after the first game. Young Gallian Military Academy cadets are swept up in a civil war after a bloody government coup. Unlike the first VC, which was a PS3 exclusive, the sequel is a PSP exclusive.

The game is set to be released in Japan this winter so we should know plenty about it by the time it finally makes its way westward.
