PS3 and Xbox 360 owners can now try out Bayonetta developer Platinum Games' new title. A single-player Vanquish demo is available for download through Xbox Live and PSN.

The demo, dubbed "Velocity Attack," pits a government agent (you) in an Augmented Reaction Suit against a group of enemy robots. Once you've dealt with them, you'll have to square off against a boss robot called Argus.

Vanquish will debut in North America on October 19th and in Europe on the 22nd. Pre-order customers will receive an exclusive Tri-Weapon Pack.
