A representative for SouthPeak Interactive, publisher for Velvet Assassin, told Blend Games at NY Comic Con that no sequels were planned for the game. However, now the developer, Replay Studios, has set the record straight.

"This is our game, we got the rights and therefore also the last decision, though we would always love to make our path in consent with our partners," said a public relations rep from Replay in an e-mail to Blend Games.

SouthPeak had explained to Blend Games at NYCC that sequels were unlikely because they wanted to be respectful to the family of the historical figure the game is based on. The Replay Studios rep also addressed this notion in her e-mail: "We as developers try to distinguish from the true character and always emphasize that it was ONLY an INSPIRATION"
