It turns out that tomorrow is going to be a pretty big day for the PlayStation Vita as the uber popular The Walking Dead finally makes its way to Sony's portable console alongside the first offering in a four-week promotional event called “PS Vita Summer Select.”

Vita gamers have been waiting quite a while now to get their hands on Telltale Game's multi-game-of-the-year winner, The Walking Dead. An adventure game set in the same universe as the popular comics and AMC television show, the episodic game tells the story of Lee, a recently convicted murderer, and Clementine, a young girl fending for herself during a zombie outbreak. Lee quickly becomes protective of Clementine and, together, they'll try to make new allies, reestablish a life with some semblance of normalcy and fight back the hordes of enemies, both living and undead.

Originally told as five separate chapters spread out across as many months, the Vita version of the game will include the entire first season of the game, as well as the “500 Days” expansion that sets the stage for chapter two.

This version is an awesome way to experience The Walking Dead, whether you're dipping your toe into the water for the first time or looking to catch up on any episodes you might have missed,” read's the official announcement. Along with the ability to play with buttons or touch controls, the Vita version of the game comes with its own set of trophies, perfect for those who need a little extra incentive to play The Walking Dead a second time. Look for it tomorrow when the PlayStation Store update goes live.

Also debuting during tomorrow's update will be the “PS Vita Summer Select” promotion, offering a 20 percent discount to Plus subscribers on four new indie titles coming out over the next month to the portable console.

The whole shebang kicks off tomorrow with two-button fighting game, Divekick, which will be marked down to $7.99 for one week only. Spelunky will be just $11.99 starting Aug. 27, KickBeat will be $7.99 starting Sept. 3 and Dragon Fantasy: Book II will be $11.99 starting Sept. 10.

These sales carry the same benefit for PlayStation 3 gamers, too, as all four titles are cross-buy. Get them at the discounted price for Vita, then download them at no extra charge to your PS3. This is essentially a great way to get gamers who have a PS Vita to expand their PS3 library or for PS3 owners to potentially build up a library for a PS Vita that they plan to purchase.
