War Of The Roses Tourney Broadcasts July 27th
Hear yee, hear yee! His Majesty, King Paradox Interactive III, has announced a tournament of champions to be held in the War of the Roses arena on Friday, July 27, in the year of our Lord 2012, the new game from Paradox Interactive and Fatshark that puts players in the heart of dynamic medieval warfare. Furthermore, it has been decreed that the grand battle shall be viewable by all citizens, broadcasting live via TwitchTV from 4-8 p.m. PST (Peasant Standard Time).
In order to show off their new game and build some word-of-mouth buzz leading into the upcoming launch, Paradox Interactive has added a tournament for its online medieval battle game, War of the Roses to the Six Games and Rock ‘n’ Roll Tour.
The live-streaming event will feature 20 competitors including broadcasters SeaNanners, TotalBiscuit and Angry Joe, as well as some Paradox developers (seems a little unfair to me) and a team from the folks at TwitchTV. For those tuning in at home, all of that gritty, bloody action will come hand-in-hand with commentary provided by producer Gordon Van Dyke and gaming veteran Alex Mendez.
In War of the Roses, teams of players maintain their armies, build up strongholds and attack their foes in a world inhabited by towering knights, charging horses and castles just perfect for pillaging. If catching the upcoming tournament gets your sword hand twitching, you can sign up for the beta by visiting the game’s official website. War of the Roses is currently set to launch in Q3 2012.
