Some have questioned the fate of sand-box action game This Is Vegas due to Midway Games' financial troubles and an overall lack of new information. However, the game hasn't been scrapped.

"This is Vegas has not been cancelled. The game is currently in production" a Warner Bros. spokesperson told G4. Warner Bros. bought Midway Games earlier this year and now their Interactive Entertainment arm is the publisher of Vegas. In their purchase of Midway, Warner Bros. also grabbed their in-house Surreal Software, who remains the developer of Vegas.

When one publisher eats another, they'll generally review the publishing slate of the company they're acquiring and drop any games they're not interested in. That's not the case here, though. As a fan of Jay Pinkerton, the Cracked writer penning this game, I consider this good news.
