Weekly Recap Aug 11th: Rise Of The Triad Returns, InSANE Canned, DayZ Gets Its Own Game

This was a pretty epic week in gaming, mostly because of all the consistent news regarding cool releases and upcoming hot topics within the industry. The bad news first: THQ canned Guillermo Del Toro's inSANE. Why? No one knows yet. But it's canned and that's not good news. On the flip side, DayZ, the popular mod for Arma II, is getting its very own standalone game, so you'll no longer be forced to buy Arma II: Combined Operations just to play DayZ right proper. Apogee and Interceptor Entertainment also released some new media assets for Rise of the Triad, the remake of the violent first-person shooter from the Golden Era of gaming. These stories and more in this August 11th, 2012 edition of the Gaming Blend Weekly Recap.
