The week kicked off with a bang, as Xbox Live users found their weekend hijacked by the unlikely evil forces of the Lizard Squad. Things didn't stay down for too long, though, as services were back up and running to keep the masses happy.

Delays were also the order of the week, as one of the more highly anticipated RPGs due to drop in 2015 got pushed back further into 2015. You probably won't be surprised at the AAA title that managed to get the delay treatment. And Valve's goodwill toward gamers with the Steam Auction was hampered by some Christmas critters that go by the moniker of “exploiters”. Xbox Live Taken Offline By Hackers

They said they would do it and they delivered. Another successful strike by The Lizard Squad. Ryan rolls out a list of the five very best PlayStation games for the PSOne. Nintendo unveiled brand new footage of the upcoming Legend of Zelda for the Wii U. Gamers managed to get pretty riled up over the whole GTA V getting pulled from Target and Kmart stores in Australia. A review for the Venom table in Zen Pinball 2 managed to get the review treatment by Ryan Winslett. An HD version of Final Fantasy VII is coming for the PS4... but it's not quite what you would expect. New gameplay footage has dropped for Uncharted 4 and legendary game designer David Jaffe is working on a brand new game called Drawn to Death.

The Witcher 3 Has Been Delayed... Again

CD Projekt RED's highly anticipated role-playing game has been delayed once more, this time pushed a little further back into 2015. New loot has been unveiled for Destiny's the Dark below. Sony Online Entertainment has finally set a release date for H1Z1's Early Access on Steam. Hearthstone's latest Goblins vs Gnomes has officially launched and you can get the free card packs right now. Ryan puts out a review of Syberia 3 for the PS3 and it's a little clunkier than you might be expecting. Paul McCartney let loose a brand new music video for Destiny and everyone across the globe is complaining about how weird and terrible it is. Sony's anniversary PS4 – one of only 13,000 – managed to sell for a massive $15,000. Microsoft responded to Street Fighter V being exclusive to PS4 and there's a brand new God of War game in development for the PS4.

DayZ Creator Makes New Studio

Dean “Rocket” Hall has unveiled his newest creation, the Rocketwerkz game studio. Borderlands Online has been announced by Shanda Games, but it's only going to be available for the Chinese gaming audience. 343 Industries has finally fixed the matchmaking in Halo: The Master Chief Collection. There appears to be some problems where Destiny's DLC is locking players out of content. The official Sons of Anarchy: The Prospect game has been announced, although it's only going to be made available for mobile devices. Dragon Age: Inquisition has been patched, addressing a number of reported issues for the game. And some new details for Mortal Kombat X have been unveiled, and it appears Babalities won't be in the game. Oh, and someone has already completed Destiny's newest raid DLC, Crota's End.

2014 Games Summed Up In A Single Trailer

2014's games summed up in a single, two-minute trailer to be exact. Speaking of trailers, there's a new Honest Trailer up and out for The Last of Us. Microsoft makes some hints that PC gamers could get Killer Instinct, which would be totally rad. There's possibly more DLC on the way for Battlefield 4. Some weekly deals have gone live for Xbox Live subscribers, this time with PopCap Games in the spotlight. Tripwire Interactive has explained why they're porting Killing Floor 2 to the PS4. And this holiday bundle deal from Sony lets you pick your PlayStation game.

Xbox One Finally Beats PS4 In U.S.

After months of trailing behind Sony's PlayStation 4 in general sales, month in and month out in the U.S., Microsoft finally managed to get the Xbox One to outsell the PS4 in November. Steam's holiday auction gives gamers a reason to whip out some of their unused items from their Steam inventory. A list of the five most violent games of 2014 has been unveiled and you won't believe what ranks as number one. A bug in The Crew is constantly erasing the stats of players. A new Showtime app has gone live for the Xbox One. And there's free games being given away in some wallet-friendly Xbox One bundles.

Steam Holiday Auction Shutdown

Just barely a day after Valve opened the Steam Holiday Auction, it was shutdown due to exploits. Square Enix has laid out the exact details on how to get your hands on the Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Collector's Edition, as well as the Final Fantasy XV demo. Ubisoft will hand out a free game with the next patch for Assassin's Creed Unity. Fans of Borderlands might be in for a remastered edition for the Xbox One and PS4. And while you might be a little late to the party, there's a free weekend going on right now for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
