The Japanese Wii website had a new addition last week, an Dual Shock-esque controller known as the Classic Controller PRO. There was no press release about the controller here in America and there's a good reason: it's not coming here.

"At this time, we do not have any plans to launch the Classic Controller PRO in the United States," said a Nintendo rep reached by Gamespot. Release plans for other territories were not mentioned. The controller will hit stores in Japan this summer.

The Classic Controller PRO is very similar to the Classic Controller, except that it has two extra shoulder buttons and hand grips. As you can see in the pictures, it strongly resembles the PS3 and Xbox 360 controllers.
