Good news today for everyone who shamefully, shamefully neglected to play Resident Evil 4 when it originally came out on Gamecube and later on PS2. Joystiq.com is reporting that Capcom has listed the Wii version of the modern classic at the wonderful budget price of $29.99.
Do you hear that all you slackers? Now you have absolutely no excuse not to go pick this one up. It’s not even like you need an excuse. You will have a giant bundle of fun I promise you. Hell, I already own the original Gamecube version and unless the Wii-controls miraculously end up sucking, I will be buying this one all over again.
I can’t imagine the controls not living up to expectations, though. This game was meant to be played on the Wii. The precision aiming in RE4 that allowed you to shoot enemies in specific areas to get different results (shot in the leg brings them down to their knees) was only faulty when considering how hard it sometimes was to aim with an analog pad. Now with the light gun styled controls, aiming should be a breeze.
I’m pretty sure we already posted this before, but for those uninitiated, I’ve included a video that shows how RE4 will look and control.
