WiiWare is expanding its horizons a bit courtesy of Hudson Entertainment. Hudson is currently developing Onslaught, the first ever first-person shooter to hit the downloadable games service.

Onslaught seems to have the boilerplate "space marines investigating a distant colony which is almost certainly infested by aliens" premise. On the bright side, it offers co-op for up to four players online. You toss grenades by swinging your Nunchuk, which should be fun if you're not a noodle-armed choir boy.

No price or release date was revealed on Hudson's website.
