CD Projekt hopes that the sequel to The Witcher won't be limited to one platform. They intend to release the game for consoles as well as the PC.

“Although PC is a certain choice we made regarding platforms for The Witcher 2, we also want to release the console version,” said senior producer Tomasz Gop in an interview with GRY-OnLine (via VG247).

However, Gop points out that the game's still a ways away. They haven't even formally announced it or revealed who the publisher will be. "Please do not expect the game too soon. The Witcher 2 is still deeply in the development stage and as it is huge and complex, there is still many, many hours of work in front of us."

A console version of the original Witcher, entitled Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf, was supposed to arrive this fall. It was under development at an outside studio, WideScreen, who shelved the project in April over a payment dispute.
