Let’s see, you get to play a new Commando game and you get in on the Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix beta test. Yeah, this sounds like a deal you can sign me up for. Capcom has announced that Xbox LIVE Gold members who purchase Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 will also get to enjoy some Street Fighter early. Hopefully they’ll put the data gathered to good use and hodoken the lag from the last XBLA Street Fighter game.

Commando 3 is no slouch either, taking the classic arcade shooter and adding cooperative shooting to make it even more intense. One thing has been proven by the latest generation: cooperative play is far superior to solo play. At least that’s true when it comes to games that focus on things that go boom.

When you go into the game with friends the difficulty level will adjust so you’re constantly being challenged, and not simply mowing over enemies. That can be fun in the short term, but any significant playtime with a Dynasty Warriors title is proof that the appeal wears thin quickly. Hopefully there will be ways to break up the action and keep you involved. Otherwise there are a ton of similar shooters that you might already own to occupy the evening.
