The Xbox 360 multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: World At War was initially only open to those players who had pre-ordered the game. Now it's been thrown open to all comers, making it an open event like the PC beta.
Well, one catch: you have to be a Xbox Live Gold member. Sorry, no freebies. Gold members will be able to download the game through the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The PC and 360 betas both feature three multiplayer maps from the retail version of the game. The leveling system, where you gain experience through completing objectives and getting kills to unlock perks and weapons, is in place though all your progress will be wiped when the game is launched on November 11th.
