If you're looking for more evidence that gamers really, really like Call of Duty: World at War, besides weekly reports for Xbox Live activity or sales figures, consider this statistic: one million PS3 and Xbox 360 owners downloaded the WaW map pack in its first weekend.

WaW Map Pack 1 was released on March 19th. The 800 Microsoft Points ($10) DLC added four new multiplayer maps to the World War II shooter. Three of the maps were for normal competitive multiplayer and the fourth was for the Nazi zombie co-op multiplayer mode.

“I’m proud that the team at Treyarch delivered an experience that so many people are enjoying,” said Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia. “We’re excited that the success of Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1 will continue to drive the popularity of the game’s Nazi Zombie mode, competitive multiplayer and chart-breaking success online."

Map Pack 1 will be released for the PC with Patch 1.4. It's not clear when that will happen.
