Treyarch announced today that the first multiplayer map pack for Call of Duty: World at War has hit another big sales milestone. Since its release on March 19th, Map Pack 1 has been downloaded two million times by PS3 and Xbox 360 owners.

"This is such an awesome milestone, and we are so appreciative of all the fans that are online day after day enjoying Call of Duty: World at War," read the announcement on the official WaW website. Map Pack 1 actually racked up the first million downloads in its opening weekend.

Note that the total doesn't include downloads by PC users. Map Pack 1 was released on April 9th for the PC, free of charge, along with Patch 1.4. The high number of sites hosting the patch make it much tougher to determine how many PC gamers grabbed the new maps.

Given the first map pack's huge success, Treyarch is obviously going to make another one. Last week, they announced that four more maps will be released for WaW in June.
