World At War Map Pack 3 Sells One Million In First Weekend

A Call of Duty fan's thirst for downloadable content is, apparently, insatiable. The third map pack for World at War was bought by over one million PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers in its first weekend.

The combined downloads for all three WaW map packs now total 6.5 million, according to Activision. With each pack costing 800 Microsoft Points ($10), it's been quite the cash cow for Treyarch and Activision. With these kind of numbers, it's safe to say that the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be getting similar post-launch support.

Map Pack 3 has yet to be released for the PC. It will be included for free with Patch 1.6.
