World At War PC Beta Begins

Remember how we said last week that Treyarch will be holding an open beta for the PC version Call of Duty: World At War? Well, it just started. No need to rush, though.

After registering at the official Call of Duty website, you'll get a special beta key. As noted previously, there's no limit on the amount of people in the beta so don't worry if the site's clogged right now. The unique keys are part of the new user database system that allows you to pick a unique user name, add friends to your list, and invite them to games. After you get your key, head over to Fileshack to download the beta file.

The PC beta contains the same three multiplayer maps as the Xbox 360 version. There's no Nazi zombies or anything but it should whet your appetite for COD in advance of the game's multi-platform release on November 11th.
