Xbox 360 owners are already getting a chance to try out Call of Duty: World At War's multiplayer and soon PC gamers will get a crack at it, too. Treyarch has just revealed the steps you need to take to sign up for the upcoming PC beta.
Step One: Register at CallofDuty.com. Step Two: Receive beta key. Yep, that's it. Even if you register after the PC beta starts, you'll get a key. You don't need to pre-order the game or anything. Everyone gets a key. Along with this announcement, Treyarch revealed that they'll be including Friend and Invite features in the PC version of World At War. To enable you to maintain a Friends List and invite these buddies to games, World At War will require you to pick a globally unique profile name. Clan tags will be a separate, editable prefix so you can easily change it if you decide to leave TeaBagger's Brigade and join American Pwnstars. Accounts As with the 360 beta, World At War accounts for the PC beta will be wiped at the end of the testing period. No mention of when the PC beta starts but it should be soon-ish - after all, the game's not that far away. World At War will be released for PC, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, DS, and PS2 on November 11th.
