Starting today Blizzard is allowing World of Warcraft players to become filthy, filthy traitors. It'll cost you, though.

To change a single Alliance character to Horde or vice versa, you'll have to pay $30. You'll then be able to select any race from your new faction and choose their appearance. You have the option of changing their name, too. Blizzard's got a new FAQ up to answer other questions and concerns.

When Blizzard began to allow server transfers, some players blamed the feature for turning certain servers into a ghost town. I'm curious as to how faction changes will affect the game's population.
