X-Men: Destiny Announced For Consoles

On the eve of New York Comic Con, Activision has announced a new game based on the X-Men franchise. X-Men: Destiny will arrive on unspecified consoles next fall.

In Destiny, players take on the roles of new mutant recruits. The game's storyline is said to be "branching" and influenced by player choice. Presumably they'll have some say over the particular powers of their mutant character as well.

The first trailer, below, is a simple teaser. It is stylish, though. More information about the game will be revealed during NYCC.
